Poverty eradication aims at removing social and legal barriers to income growth among the poor. The popular methods used for poverty alleviation are education, economic development, and income redistribution .The aim of this programme is to bring about the environment of gender equality and women empowerment by taking initiatives such as:
- Poverty alleviation.
- Improving the quality of life.
- Giving better opportunities to the underprivileged.
- Opening up new horizons to the deserving and needy.

Marriage Support Programme:
Islam considers marriage as a most approved and virtuous institution and getting a poor girl married as a sadqa jariah. Fazilia trust Pakistan utilizes all its resources to perform the pious task of getting poor girls married by providing them with financial assistance and supports them in wedding expenses. FTP is strongly against dowry and there ensures that the financial assistance provided by FTP is only used for the basic expenses. Fazilia trust has so far gotten 23 needy girls married.
Income Support programme:
Among many initiatives taken by FTP, income support programme is one of them. The organization highly believes in keeping the values intact. Keeping this view of saving and securing human self respect ahead, FTP has been supporting poor and downtrodden families by providing them with monthly ration or financial assistance. This programme caters to those under privileged families who are unable to meet their basic needs due to poverty, disability and lack of opportunities. FTP assigns light tasks to those who get income support so that their self esteem is not harmed. Fazilia is supporting 11 deserving families on monthly basis.
Free Daily Kitchen
Every day 150 homeless people benefit from this programme. 4 regular free kitchen events are held on yearly basis in which 6000 people benefit from Fazilia meals three times a day.
During the month of Ramzan FTP distributes various food items to the needy annually. Approximately 700 families benefit from this programme every year. FTP also distributed 50 warm shawls amongst the needy.
